ABC Radio Brisbane was the first located in Brisbane was created through Queensland’s Government of Queensland in 1925 and was named 4QG (abbreviation of the Queensland Government). It is the second station located in Brisbane. The station started broadcasting on January 7, 1938. The initial name was 4QR.
